This is a one-of-a-kind solitaire 18k ring. The twining band is 2mm wide and has a continuous pattern around made with an ancient and unique process of granulation in 18k gold alloyed in my studio. The diamond is ethically sourced from a seller who is a certified member of the Responsible Jewellery Council (RJC). This is a conflict-free diamond. It is a modest 0.21 ct white Sl2 with a low profile bezel- setting for folks who use their hands and like pockets.

Granulation is a controlled fusing process that has been utilized for thousands of years. This unique surface will get more interesting with wear. The components, sheet, wire and granules as well as the round ingot for the setting are all made in my studio all from an 18k gold ingot alloyed from recycled, refined 24k gold. The granules are individually placed and fused with a mouth torch.

The twining pattern is unique, organic and flowing, with the recesses of the gold given a patina for a lasting sense of depth to accentuate the twining pattern. This pattern will be interrupted by resizing, but gracefully, so it will not attract your attention.
