This is a natural aquamarine cabochon bezel-set in fine silver granulation with a sterling silver shank cast from an original wax carved half-round band.

Granulation is a controlled fusing process that has been utilized for thousands of years. This unique surface will get more interesting with wear. The components, sheet, wire and granulesare made in my studio all from a fine silver ingot. The granules are individually placed and fused with a mouth torch.
