This lovely Squiggle and Dot design band is unique and made by hand using the ancient process of Granulation.

Granulation is a controlled fusing process utilized for thousands of years which can only be done in certain high-purity metals. This ancient fusing process has been utilized for thousands of years by the Etruscans and Mycenaeans. Following this ancient tradition, I use pure silver or alloy 24k gold down to 18k and create tiny granules and wire and sheet. I prepare the ring by cutting a length of sheet to size and fusing it together using a mouth torch to control the heat. I place the granules with a 000 paint brush and then carefully heat them using a mouth torch to the point of fusing. Each sphere is connected by a tangent of metal creating a sleek and beautiful surface. Each granule and shaped wire are placed individually and fused cohesively with a mouth torch. After many applications of the granules, with repeated torch firings and cleaning and more granules, the ring is then shaped and smoothed, given a dark patina and then brushed with a brass brush.
