These solid sterling silver Crossbones Studs are wax carved by hand and cast using the ancient process of Lost Wax to cast them in sterling silver. I then made a mold, which I can inject with wax and make wax copies of the Crossbones and cast a lot of matching pairs!

These are given a deep patina in the recessed and then polished. I have added a pair of silicone ear nuts which you can wear with the silver ear nuts or without the silver ear nuts. It’s up to you! I find them more comfortable to wear with post-earrings.

Death, Decay, Corruption, and constant reminders of our own mortality wait around every corner. What can we do but recognize and even celebrate these as reminders to live our lives more fully? The Stoic Philosophers of antiquity wrote that one can only live one’s life authentically, that is more fully in the present moment, by meditating on death’s inevitability. This is the thought process celebrated by Memento Mori art.

So here is your reminder to live life to the very fullest, and they look super freakin cute to boot! And they are subtle enough that you can wear them all the time and not just during Spooky Season.
