This luminous teardrop shaped ruby is surrounded by 18k Gold granulation with a Gold granulated bail. Granulation is an ancient fusing process utilized for thousands of years by the Etruscans and Mycenaeans. I alloy 24k gold down 18k and create tiny granules and sheet. I place these granules with a 000 paint brush and then carefully heat using a mouth torch to the point of fusing. Each sphere is connected by a tangent of metal creating a sleek and beautiful surface.
The ruby is bezel-set in 18k gold and can be hung on your own chain or a choice of gold or silver chains in several lengths you can choose at check out. Whatever will best suit you!
