Seaweed Pattern Long Dagger French Hook Earrings with safety clasp
Look at that sparkle! These seaweed dagger dangle earrings are long, elegant points of silver filled with a granulation pattern I call Seaweed, as it looks like it has so much movement in the varying-sized granules. These are cast versions of my original granulation work, which is then molded for repeat waxes and cast using the ancient Lost Wax Process.
Granulation is an ancient fusing process for fine metals. Casting allows me to make this design in Sterling Silver. These Seaweed Dagger posts have a dark patina in the recesses and the tops are polished for contrast.
They have a nice weight and look great on!
These are sterling cast earrings with sterling fixed french hooks with a safety clasp.
