These are my smallest Etruscan Hoops as a post-earring! Smaller than a dime - these post hoops hug your earlobe. So freakin’ cute! I like to wear them in my second piercing up and I prefer the gold! But they are also available in 14k gold.
These Sterling Silver hoops are cast in my studio from a granulated master for a limited edition series of hoops. I use fine silver for the original granulation, then make a mold, pull a wax copy from the mold, and then cast using the lost wax process with a vacuum. Granulation is a fascinating and labor-intensive ancient fusing process that can only be done with certain alloys that are prone to fusing. Sterling Silver is not one of those metals. Casting allows me to make this design in hard-to-fuse metals.
